Binch Press/Queer.Archive.Work is a volunteer-run print cooperative centering queer/trans artists and artists of color in Providence, RI (occupied Pokanoket Wampanoag and Narragansett land). Binch came out of a desire to openly share print and ceramics facilities that are often guarded by inaccessible institutions or are costly to acquire and maintain alone. We have a cooperative structure and offer memberships on a sliding scale.

Binch Press believes in mutual aid by and for Queer and POC artists. We openly share resources, skills and equipment with each other and our communities. Binch is a space for personal self expression as well as collective action. Our art helps us embody our identities and make struggles for justice widely visible.

Queer.Archive.Work
Queer.Archive.Work is a nonprofit reading room, publishing studio, and project space serving Providence, RI and beyond (501(c)(3) status pending). QAW was founded in 2020 to support artists and writers with free, open access to space and resources for experimental publishing, with a special focus on queer practices. QAW includes a non-circulating library of books, zines, and objects, a risograph printer, and project installation space. QAW strives to be accountable, to center marginalized voices through intersectional work, and to cultivate inclusive, safe platforms for independent, queer publishing. All visitors are welcomeâthis is an accessible community space, open and free for all (please see our code of conduct).
Come by to chat about your work, use the risograph printer, make zines, and spend time in the reading room. Weâre at 40 Sprague Street, #1G Providence, RI 02907, on the west side of Providence, in a building that used to be a rubber bicycle tire factory.
